The Master and the Rock

As the Rabbi, the RESURRECTED CHRIST had every right to cross-examine His chosen ones particularly those who faltered and toyed with the divine script that He fulfilled. The Creator-creature relationship still holds. It is the basic relationship between God and man. The test questions of love and the commands of servitude were answerable only with yes or no. Besides, it was not a human authority who was interrogating. It was a Resurrected Divinity. He must be answered truthfully and not silently. Nonetheless, Peter’s verbosity inexplicably vanished into thin air for whatever reason.

God’s Sex

icon1 Published by thresiapaulose in Religion on April 30, 2009 | No Comments

What is the sex of God? Male or female? Religions decribe him as male. That is only male chauvenism. God is both male and female. Hinduism describes God as a person both male and female (Arthanariswar).

I Was Naked: Genesis 3:1-7

There are numerous acts carried out in the Bible that would be considered horrendously evil by modern standards: little things, like genocide, murder, rape, incest, polygamy, theft, etc. Many times God Himself commanded that these things be done. Our minds and our culture tell us that these things are evil. But God commanded them, so they must be good. These acts cannot be good and evil at the same time. Either my sense of good and evil is correct or God’s sense of good and evil is correct. For anyone that believes in a Supreme Being, this is an untenable position. The account of the Fall can shed some insight on this apparent contradiction.

Labels and Names: Genesis 2:19-20

In Genesis 2, God brings every beast of the Garden before Adam. Adam uttered some noise based on the “law” that formed in his mind upon seeing the beast, and this became the name for that beast. Adam’s names effectively relegated every beast to its place, ignoring, perhaps, a more subtle nature that can only be observed without some preconceived notion.

And God Made Woman: Genesis 2:21-25

Adam was created in innocence. He had no antagonism presented to him. Of all the creatures he named, none of them provided him with the opportunity to become perfected. Adam labeled everything, yet nothing he labeled, would have tested him. So God made woman.

Laila Ali Looks Like Dr. Ali

Now that Laila Ali is out of the ring, I see her helping children. She seems to have a great love for children and has a child of her own.
