Zen is the feeling, the aura that many in this life want to achieve. But what is zen? Is it a feeling? A way of life? In Zen (79 pages, Andrews and McMeel, $4.95), edited by Randy Burgess, the basic history and explanations of what the idea of zen can be is explored.

Zen is one of those great mini gift books that give a short introduction and history to a topic. For this book, the idea of zen is explored through the history, teachings, and phrases that are often associated with the concept.

Not only is the concept of zen explored through word in this book, but the book also contains simple, but beautiful examples of artwork that also help to explain the concept of zen. Anyone who reads this book will be able to get an understanding of the concept quickly and also have the leads to seek out additional information on the topic.
