A Heavenly Conversation

I believe that from time to time we all need a reminder of what power we have through the Spirit that lives in each of us. And also a prompt to (I do a least) do that which God wants us to do.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit recently had a conversation in Heaven The goal of this conversation was simple: To remind Their children of the power, gifts and love imparted to them.  They instruct us to carry on, enduring to the end, wrapping up their exhortation to us with three simple instructions.

“Do you know what I was just thinking about?” God asked the Heavenly hosts.

” No, Master, what were you thinking about?”

God the Father answered, “It seems that My children have forgotten what kind of power they have available to them.  And they keep allowing the devil to deceive them!

“We don’t understand what You mean, God.  Please enlighten us?” an angel replied.

“I have made My children in such a way that when the people of the world are sitting, they will be standing, when the world is standing, they will stand out, when the world stands out”, God began to explain, “My children must be outstanding and when the devil dares the world to be outstanding, My people will be the plumb line by which the world will be measured!”

“They are also forgetting the words of  Ephesians 1:3.” Jesus added.

“What shall they do, O God, now that  the end grows near?”, asked another angel.

“I will remind them that My Presence is still among men and I will teach and tell them all this We have spoken about” the Holy Spirit said.

“I will continue to make intercession for them,” Jesus exclaimed, “and I will hold them up, even in their weakest moments.”

God then said, “I will also make sure that I give to all those who ask of Me, and who seek Me and try to find Me. The blessings that I have promised to them, through My Son, Jesus Christ, will be delivered to all those who discover that I AM willing to bestow these blessings upon them! But not because of any things that they have done, just because I love My children.

Then Jesus added, “I will also give all My followers enough strength to carry on.”

And so, with these exhortations, the dialogue ended.  And the Holy Spirit of God harkened to the hearts and minds of all of His children, “Be mindful that you must: PRAY MORE, STUDY THE WORD MORE AND PREACH THE WORD!

    A good piece.

How about writing an imaginary dialogue between Lord Jesus and an unbeliever who asks, “Why can’t I come to Heaven? Why am I being sent to Hell though I have been a good guy on Earth?”

I like your original approach to this. Indeed his blessings do not come as rewards for what we have done, simply as a token of his love.
