This story is about how the heavenly host turned a little tot into a destined Pastor. Our journey takes place in a small town called Oreo, Georgia. This is not your average town as it has history of enrichment during the slavery days, but now has become a product manufacturing town of bake goods. Can you smell what’s baking in the kitchen? What’s cooking in the kitchen is the word of God in making with the ingredient of a little something extra in a tot named Joey Alexander. Growing up in Oreo, Georgia wasn’t easy for the young Joey as his parents were poor. His mother did Domestic work, and his father was a farm hand. Joey’s parent’s names were Ithaca Alexander, and his father’s name was Samuel Fast Foot Alexander. How Samuel Alexander got the nickname fast foot, because he could get chores done on the farm within an hour. Despite Joey’s parents having lack of education didn’t stop them nor handicap them in putting food on the table as they know God would help them break bread together.

It’s 9:00 AM, it’s time to get ready for church as it’s Sunday morning. Today was going to be a special sermon as the honorable Pastor Franklyn Washington has a sermon that will encourage hearts and capture souls. The sermon was, “Eye on the prize with God’s vision”. It’s 11:00 AM, and the choir is singing the praises of God, and their voices echoed throughout the town including neighboring towns. Rev. Washington was ready to preach from the pulpit, and proceeded to quote a chapter from bible. Just then, the holy spirit took over Reverend Washington, and he swiftly walked over to the young Joey Alexander, and the Lord spoke through Pastor Washington. The message from God to Joey was, “You will preach to multitudes, and souls will hear and be saved.

Being that Joey Alexander was young, he didn’t understand what God’s message meant, but if God said it, it was going to come to past. The following Sunday, the young Alexander began to get involve in Sunday School, Prayer service, and Joy night. He learned more and more of God, and what his life meant to God himself. Every night before going to bed, he would pray and pray asking God for understanding and wisdom. Also that night, his parents began to encourage him, and let him know, he was destined for greatness. We always wanted the best for you, but now God has a better floor plan for your life. The young Joey Alexander is now 25 years old, and preached, “God of my life, here I stand”. The congregation was up in arms with his anointing, and the power of God spoke for itself. The more he preached, the more knowledgeable he got. You see, understanding, and wisdom comes as you continue to grow and live.

In 1994, Preacher Alexander loss his parents in a car accident, but that was a short setback as they had taught him how to live, and if you continue to walk with the Lord, he will provide guidance of light with beams of direction. Preach on! Preach on! That is exactly what Reverend Joey Alexander did. He became ordained as Pastor of the Heavenly Souls Mission Tabernacle Church in Oreo, Georgia. The Reverend Alexander’s message to you, “Be steadfast and strong, and call on the Lord for inner strength and peace. Keep thee in prayer, oh Lord watch over me during sunrise and sunset as the moon hangs high for all to see. The face of the Lord with my unfaithful soul with an open heart of forgive me as I have sinned, and give me complete deliverance over the enemy.
