A Prayer for My Family

God, first of all I would like to say thank you for giving me strength, even beyond the necessity to help me achieve my goals. Thank you for including me in your daily chores, your daily recipient of your endless wisdom and grace. Thank you for giving me my daily serving of your fruitful purposes, for lighting up my path for sometimes I lost my tracks. Thank you for patience, for continually guiding this stubborn sheep, for making me realize how much you love me, for giving me each day to cherish with my friends, for providing me all my primary needs. For giving me my family, for using them as your replacement to show your love through my family, most especially to my younger sibling, for he may not know their true value, please God be his guardian. I know his school may be far away, I pray that you continue giving him patience, give him much more strength and wisdom to finish his five-year course, that he may not lost his track like my two cousins. To my father to whom I owe a lot, give him much strength and protection as he is the primary bread –winner of the family, give him wisdom in every decision that he make. Give him protection in every travel, most especially when he is riding motorcycle. I know that you will not let him go without your presence but nobody knows when accident will strike. To my mother, Lord give her strength, though she may be still lost since she did not find her purpose, give her much wisdom in decision-making purposes. To my cousins Michael and Kevin, I know that your parables about the prodigal son, that they may be lost of their track, be their Shepherd and return them to their right herd, and open their eyes and let them know their purpose. To my cousin in Macha family, Eliezer, Earl, Eila and Ellaine, bless them Lord as their parents are away from them, Lord please give Eriz more patience and give him the gift of leadership, so as he could stand the responsibility of the oldest brother. Lord give Mommy Heling more strength as she has been the guardian of this family. To their parents, Aileen and Ramir though it will be very long before I will see them again, bless them Lord and give them the assurance that their children are safe with their Mommy Heling. To the Torres family bless them for becoming our second family, bless Elmer as he is working outside the country, be his guardian day and night, to his wife Jeanette, give her strength for single-handedly taking care of their children, for the wisdom to budget their monthly allowance. To their children, bless Ashley; give her strength, wisdom and patience for handling both her studies and her duties as for being the oldest daughter. Bless Jesimiel, give him as well strength, wisdom and patience for handling both his studies and duties as for the oldest son, and a brother both to Ashley and Allyssa. Lord bless my favorite cousin, let her know that her “Tito Ninong” is praying for her; give her strength, wisdom and patience for her studies. To Papaleng and Mama Rose, bless them Lord, continue sprinkling them with your blessings, Lord guide their oldest daughter, Ate Mae, though she may be far away, distance in no problem with your blessings that no matter how far she is from where we are, we know that you are keeping an eye on her. To their second daughter, Ate Mcdo, bless their family, continue shower them with your wisdom as it is their only source of income. Lord bless her husband Kuya Alvin, that their teamwork reigns against misunderstanding. Bless their son, and yet my “Pamangkin” again. Give him all the blessings that you can give for him. I do hope that he will be very good and hardworking someday, probably a scholar during his college life. To Tito Bobby, Lord I know that they are in need, God continue shower them with your blessing and bless Tito Bobby with good health. To Michael Lord bless him; give him strength and perseverance to finish his course so as he could fulfill your purposes for him. Bless Jason to use his talents in appropriate matter and not to waste it with inappropriate matter. Eliminate their bad attitude and purify him with your divine grace. To their youngest sibling Nicole, bless her that she may finish her studies and be use with great purpose in her life. To their mother, Tita Lanie, bless her each day, give her strength for managing their children. To Tito Batet, bless him and continue bless him with your blessing and that you sustain him with the love he misses so much with his wife. Tita Jenny bless her, I know how difficult it is that her province has been critically hit by the past typhoons. Bless her and restore her. To their daughter, Jemimah, bless her and give her wisdom, that she may graduate in high school with good grades and with honors, I know that you have given her knowledge, and it is being use very well. To Mommy Tew, bless them continue showering them with your blessings. To her husband, Tito Rory, bless him as well. To my cousins Regina and Reilley, shower them with your blessings and wisdom. Give them your guidance and support to whatever it is that you have put on them as their purpose. Lord God all this we ask to your most precious name of all, Amen
