Reading the Bible on a daily basis is a great way to be grounded in spiritual principles. It will strengthen Christians during times of difficulty and make them life less stressful.
As we face life’s struggles, it is very helpful to be able to seek God’s word for answers to the problems we face on a day to day basis. Do it alone is not only difficult, but we are not equipped to face life’s struggles on our own. The Lord promises in Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV) “And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

For a wider selection of Bible reading plans, Christians can go to Techpastor.net and chose from twenty Bible reading plans that can be accessed from a Blackberry, a web browser, a cell phone or iPod. Christians can connect with members of their community and even write a journal on line.
When Christians read the Bible on a daily basis and apply the word to their lives, they are obeying the command in I Corinthians 14:40 which states, Let everything be done decently and in order.” When we have order in our lives, we are more productive and it makes it easier for God to bless us.

We definitely need to take in the Word on a daily basis. I think that the problem is most people don’t know how to apply it once they’ve read it. You know the type – they can quote you every verse, but they don’t live any of it.
I agree that some do notknow how to apply the word to their lives. We have busy schedules and some don’t spend enough time exploring the word. That’s why we have various groups on FaceBook like Prospering Christians to help make sense out of something and live a more victorious life.
Thanks Gail. Bible reading is like spiritual food for Christians. If we don’t take it in regularly, we become spiritually malnourished. Just like our physical bodies have a harder time fighting disease if we are malnourished, so too our souls are more susceptible to spiritual warfare if we have not been spending time in the Word.
There are many online Bible reading sites, and they all have reading plans. Some provide charts to keep track of your reading, and they all have Bible study resources and devotional and teaching articles. Bible Gateway.com Christianity.com and Bible Study Tools.com are a few of them.
