I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. John 10:10

Accept God’s Generosity!

Everlasting – The eternal nature of God’s grace is one of the most compelling themes of Scripture. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Everything from the stock market to great empires will rise and fall and come and go. Meanwhile, God’s love, mercy and grace will endure forever as it always has. The abundant life (Divine nature) of which we are partakers through Christ, shares this everlasting quality.

Fellowship – Relationship with God and with each other is one of the most rewarding hallmarks of the abundant life into which Christ assimilates us. “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.” (1 John 1:3) Fellowship expresses our divine communion in the Spirit, reflected in the Sacrament of Holy Communion where “we, though many, are one body in Christ.”

Providence – “My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) Memorize that! From the first page to the last, the Bible demonstrates what the people of God continue to testify, that God takes care of us through even the greatest difficulties. In all our visions, decisions and labors we have the opportunity to reflect God’s generosity. What an abundant life we enjoy in Christ as stewards of God’s riches in glory!

Here is the promise of Jesus:

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
John 11:24-26

Let us receive the abundant life!
