American Pastor Dies in a Hotel Room

It is no longer a news that an American popular pastor died in a New York Hotel. The controversy at hand is the search for the cause of of the sudden death of this pastor. According to a news outlet in New York, the Orange County mega church pastor who died in the New York City hotel had an envelope of white powder on him when he died.

Pastor Zachery Tims, was a well know pastor who had hosted and appeared in many Christian Television and radio programmes in America. His Church, New Destinty Christian Centre Apopka in Central Florida was established in 1996 and it has a congregation of 8,000 members.

In 2005, the Church built a $3.4 million, 34,000-Square-foot youth centre with the aim of keeping young people away from the dangers of drugs. However, it is also known that the 42 year old Pastor had been in and out of jail as a young person. The youth centre was to assist in making the young ones not to follow same track as their pastor.

Police investigation has been pointing at drug overdose as the cause of his death. However, should such a figure die of the effects of drug abuse? What was he preaching that made him so popular? The autopsy has not been concluded to determine indisputably the cause of the death of this young and vibrant preacher.Though Pastor Tims always told of his gang life before he was called by God. This testimony always helps in the establishment of trust in Christianity. In 2009, Tims left the pulpit after the revelation of his extra marital affair before returning as the senior pastor. The conclusion of the cause of the death of Pastor Tims is yet to be known. We will wait to see….
