[What is Anything, Everything, And Understanding?]
To touch someone with more understanding! (deep thought)

Scripture reading: Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD grivet wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding.
2:7 He layette up sound wisdom for the righteous: [he is] a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
2:8 He kept the paths of judgment, and preserved the way of his saints.
2:9 Then salt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; [yea], every good path.
2:10 When wisdom entirety into thane heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
2:11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: Purpose: (Why are you giving this talk?)The purpose of giving this talk is to reach people with an understanding of God.Thesis: (What is your major argument?)
That everything is to complex to understand, and God; going very deep.I. Introduction
A. Greeting- Hey I am Devin Bates Christian since 2003, I went to Blue Mountain Academy as a 3 year senior, and am a servant of the one and only God.B. Attention getter- Ok how many of you have phones? (Humor in there) how many can consider their phones as smart phones? Now how many consider their phones as smarter than themselves? Just joking doesn’t answer that! Well on the Friday afternoon of my senior year in high school, attending at BMA, I was at the end of a great focus week where the speaker was from southern, and he just connected very well, he didn’t make me practice some of the things that I do to stay focused, well he spoke Friday night and then at the end my chapel pastor, pastor Dave came up and he asked that those who would like to join him to come to the gym for a communion, It was great I went a couple of times through out the school year.
Well he was inviting us my- very beautiful girlfriend Becky asked me are you going to go because I am? And so I sat there and thought to myself should I go or should I stay so I prayed hey god, should I go or should I stay and then I was like just send me the answer through the question of when that question is asked again, amen. Then I looked up to my buddy Josh and I was like hey Josh are you going to the communion and he said No I’m just going back to my room. And then I realized that God sent me the answer through my own question to Josh, because when I prayed I said let the next time it is asked be the answer.
So since I had my answer, well after I thought all that in like 5 seconds. I suggested to myself that the answer must be no, but I asked my self why would god tell me no-What is the reason (Never forget Devin how maturity really is) for me wanting to go back to the dorm what spiritual growth will come out of that, so I started listing all the possibilities in my head read the bible, play guitar, listen to music, try to talk to Josh about something below the surface level, or oh whatever I will find out. And this is all going through my mind within like the same 5 seconds just 5 seconds after the last 5 seconds. If you got that- if not I wouldn’t want that to be the main thing that you actually get out of this. But anyway I looked over to my girlfriend and was like no I am not going, and as girls always do she was like so what are you going to do, so I was like I don’t know whatever.
And finally I get up and make my leave from her and once I get out side I look up and I start thinking about all the other times I looked up at the sky before , and I realized something, I actually would feel to good to look up or to cool to daze into the sky, you know I’m I man that is a guy I don’t stare at stars. But that has nothing to do with this. So I get inside and I was just thinking about the growth I was going to get out of this great experience of going to the same place that I always do, my room , than I get a shower, and while I was in the shower- no bad thoughts okay.
Well I was in the shower just thinking about stuff and I just started praying and I said a prayer that will haunt me for the rest of my life, and death and life again. How many of you ever experienced praying a pray and knowing that it is a pet-peeve, or something that you know can get to you, how many actually know what I am asking? Anyways in a way to sum up what I said were these words. These very words that are like the tooth in my back from my own mouth, literally.
Were these: Lord, I ask you to give me something, something no one else has that has ever lived, something that I can use for you kingdom, but Lord make it something that no bobby will ever understand, yes Jesus I am asking that you will give me a gift beyond understanding. So I went on through out the night and a moment came when I was walking past the mirror on my door, and I was just standing that thinking how am I going to know what it is because if I do know what it is than I must be able to understand it.C. Credibility statement- And I back that up with how can you know the word for anything unless you understand it?
So I tried to answer that question well Love is a word that I know yet don’t understand, but yet I understand that it is a word that is an explanation for an emotional strong hold that is made up between two people. So therefore I understand it some what, and that is too much, and so I tried to think of something that I do that I don’t understand even a tiny bit. Nope nothing so I concluded that it must be something completely unknown, beyond everything. D.
Thesis statement- And so I thought what about talking is that beyond my understanding and so I thought with a view point that I now hold dear to me, I thought that if God was to talk would he be able to go passed all other understanding, and so I thought he has to be able to has God, so nope the thing that I am not able to understand must not be that and so I went on to list other things and that is where I cam up with a theory.E. Main point #1- And the main point on this theory is this If I can look at anything and understand that God might understand that anything beyond any understanding, then that means that everything being equal to anything is beyond my understanding. So that means everything then it hit me it’s all too much, just to complex past all understanding woe!!

So I thought what is understanding in Gods viewpoint> That’s it I said I have had enough Lord I am Asking you to tell me when I come to heaven, no better yet for a thousand years I will try it out, then I was like no lord please don’t hold me to that prayer I can’t even think about it for a half an hour let alone a thousand years. So then I said to myself that’s it I’m haunted by my own prayer to God, prayers are for good things not bad I said.

B. Main point #2 So then I realized what I remembered, before I came back to the room popped into my mind maybe this is the reason that God brought me back- to understand something. And that Something I will tell you that something in a min.

Main point #1 so the main point that I inherently wanted you to catch are What point of view do you approach things with, that is in the greater benefit for kingdom advancement, which is our ultimate goal right.2.
