Just like in the bible stories, almost everyone is reminded with issues from the past. The past is where we get the experiences that outlines and shapes the definitive person that we become now. My curiosity always finds some people who cannot give up their past emotional hurts, especially if the hurt or harm is done from among their family members.
Not so very long ago, while I was assisting with the serving of food after our early morning service at the church and was on my way to the pantry area, I passed by a row of classrooms where batches of schoolchildren were having Sunday classes. There I saw in one classroom that there was one of the teacher that had several of her students sitting in a tight circle around her while she was reading aloud bible stories.
The setting took me back across time when I was still a young obedient schoolgirl, with generally around their age. I would happily sit on my beloved grandmother’s lap while she would read powerfully delivered bible stories. That was then. Sadly, my beloved bible stories’ reader grandmother passed away when I was just sixteen years of age. I haven’t thought about my grandmother that often during my mature life, but the retention and sense of my time being with her swallowed me on that fateful Sunday morning break.
My partner and I still do not have kids, so I have’nt read paid attention to bible stories many years ago. I mentioned this to our local pastor that early coffee break. He related to me that many significant books with numerous bible passages and stories in them are fitted out for teens and as well as for adults. By then, he opened to myself that he would let me borrow a book from his vast personal collection.
I have then began reading the borrowed book, which is separated between the old testament and new testament. It is there that I have discovered that the words and situations in the bible stories have an immense deal of meaning to me while I was reading it.
Just as the stories for the young, the teen or adult side takes segments from the bible yet creates a story setting that is more easy to understand. This specific book also relates bible stories to the existing day so that they are more applicable to our everyday life.
Comprehending bible stories has escalated my interest in taking time to read the great bible. I have at all times had good purpose of spending time reading the book, but I have never seemed to succeed to doing and finishing it. The volume with mature bible stories has granted me a greater longing to do this writing. I suppose that is the goal behind having books with bible stories inside in the very first place.
