We were blessed to be sent, to be a blessing! Gary Tate (taken from teachings by John Bevere and Kenneth Copeland at two different Chruch meetings)

Genesis 1: 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1: 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

**God blessings are followed by His promises he has given!

**And we were meant to walk them out and be blessings!

Genesis 12: 1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will show thee:

Genesis 12: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

**The covenant was solely reliant on God faithfulness, not Abraham.

**We must go out, into our promised land as well.

We can look at Moses who had 40 years in the Egypt, training, 40 years in the desert, preparation, learning to rely on God; 40 years leading the Nation of Israel, proving all God had said was true.

Moses was born of Hebrew parents, to become a Prince of Egypt, a son of the Pharaoh. Fled to the desert yet led back to Egypt. Then to led the people to their promised land, one he saw yet never entered in. He was blessed and became a blessing to his own Nation.

**A thought on this, our emotions can cause us not to enter in, his anger caused him to strike the rock rather than speak as he was instructed to by God.

Later came Joseph, like Moses in a way, who was born a Hebrew and sold into slavery, by his own brothers and was bought by an officer of Pharaoh.

He was prosperous in all he did, and was put in charge, this was his training and learning time. Then put into jail when falsely accused of laying with his masters wife, his desert experience. Even in jail he prospered, he was put in charge there as well. He had dreams and these were ones that put him eventually, years later that as he gave the interpretation to the Pharaoh, he was again given rule over everything. He was second in command, only lower than Pharaoh himself. He was blessed and became a blessing to his own brothers, Nation and Egypt.

Genesis 37: 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age: and he made him a coat of many colors.

Genesis 37: 4 And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him.

**Being the favorite has its affects, on us and others.

Genesis 37: 5 And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Genesis 37: 9 And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Genesis 37: 11 And his brethren envied him; but his father observed the saying.

**He was sold because he shared his dreams, this can be that we may not always need to share everything God shows us. It is for a time later perhaps, and only for us to begin to see it become.

Genesis 37: 20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

**When have we been throw by our own family into the preverbal pit?

John 15: 26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

**When we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior we received the Holy Spirit as well.

Acts 7: 34 I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt.

**Talking of course of Moses, while yet in the wilderness after 40 years.

2 Corinthians 1: 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

**Sometimes we will find there are those we are able to minister to because we have walked through what they are.

Not only has God given us natural abilities, He also equips every believer with spiritual gifts for the purpose of ministry. God doesn’t use the unwilling–He will not force us to serve Him. His part is to equip us (Eph. 4:11-13)

Ephesians 4: 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4: 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Ephesians 4: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

**Notice this is speaking of ministry gifts, for the five-fold ministry.

And empower and prepare us for service. Our part is to be faithful and available and aware of opportunities to use our gifts (Romans 12:6 – Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith ;)

John 14: 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

**We are sent to do the greater works, each believer to be a blessing.

John 20: 21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

John 20: 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

**Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit, Who gives us the power to be that blessing we were meant to be.

Colossians 3: 10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

**To do this we must walk in the new man that was given to us when we accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Colossians 3: 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Colossians 3: 23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

**Do everything with all we have.

Colossians 3: 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

**We as well will be blessed, receive our inheritance, if we serve and follow God.

Colossians 4: 6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

**Even in our speech we must be a blessing.

Our Daily Bread devotional

In September 2001, Lisa Jefferson had an unexpected opportunity to be used by God. Her now well-known 15-minute conversation with a passenger on United Flight 93 forever changed the direction of her life. In her book Called, she emphasizes that her listening skills and her ability to take charge and stay calm in a crisis were used to encourage fellow believer Todd Beamer in the last moments of his life.

She did not ask to be used that way. But God saw a woman who was available and matched her with someone who was in need. Lisa now shares her story with whomever she can to encourage believers to always be ready to serve.

**God will use those who are willing and obedient.
