Crazy Christians – The Westbro Baptist Church

Every religion has its fair share of headcases, the nutters who take it all a little too far. We have extremist Muslims, Jewish treatment of the Palestinians and we have the Christians.

There is no escaping the fact that right wing Christianity is on the rise, but they have a long way to go before they reach the heady heights of universal hatred and condemnation achieved by the Westbro Baptist Church – pure evil this lot.

They are not connected in any way to the Baptists church in America. They exist as an independent Baptist Church run by head nutcase Fred Phelps and consists mostly of his large extended family.

It can be argue that WBC is not a church, but a hate group. There main beef seems to be homosexuality and how evil it is. In fact this is the only thing they ever bang on about with slogans like.

There hatred is also directed at America for allowing homosexuality. The WBC can be seen with their child-like banners at military funerals boasting their hate for Gays and America. They enjoy the publicity gained by spreading this disgusting filth at the funerals of service men. They pop up now and again at celebrity funerals for the media exposure.

Apart from the free publicity gained by attending the funerals with their banners. The WBC believes that soldiers dying in far off lands and overseas operations are doing so because God is punishing America for not eradicating homosexuality. This is also the reason the claim that God caused 9/11.

Don’t feel left out though, they hate everybody.

They hate Catholic because of “pervert priests” and the veneration of Mary.

They hate Muslims because “Mohammed is a demon possessed Whore-monger.”

They hate Jews because “Jews support fags and it is the policy of the reformed Jews to support same sex marriage” and of course the classic “The Jews killed Christ.”

They hate Italians because “They are mobster breeding perverts.”

They hate Hindus because “ They are fags and fag enablers.”

They hate Barack Obama because “He is the Anti Christ who form an unholy trinity with Satan and Pope Benedict.”

If you are not on this list, don’t worry they hate you too – would not want you to be left out.

The United Kingdom has banned members of the WBC from entering Britain. They had hoped to protest at a play “ The Laramie Project” about a gay man’s murder, but were told to politely Piss Off when they attempted to come to Britain.

At this moment The Westbro Baptist Church is awaiting the outcome of an appeal by the father of Lance Corporal Matthew A. Snyder. He had successfully sued the WBC for defamation, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotion stress.

The original ruling had been overturned on the grounds of a right to free speech.

Mr Snyder has since appeal to the Supreme court in the US to overturn this decision in his favour.

I suggest readers look further into this group and see for yourself, what kind of hatred this group promote and believe.

I also apologise for the use of the word “fag” in this article, but I feel that by giving accurate quotes it would convey their hatred better.

Can I also add, that the term Whore- Monger is a fantastic phrase to use, I may start using that one when I Speak to anyone from Bolton Council… “Why have my bins not been emptied, you Whore-monger?”

Everyone is entitled to free speech as long as no- one is offended or discriminated against. Some just push that right a little too far.
