Do you hate gifts that are given to you? Do you hate the good gifts the Father gives you? I do.

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I to do that is what I do. Romans 7:15 New International Version

You see the Lord give you weaknesses to keep you humble so do not become arrogant or think ourselves better than others. So when you have bad habits they are gifts from god. I hate the weaknesses I have. For example, I smoke. I hate smoking, I know I should quit and I am always trying to quit, and will always continue to try to quit. This is Gods gift to me. If I start to become arrogant I remember the passage about our bodies being the Temple of God and I am polluting it. It keeps me humble.

They are also gifts to help you understand how loving and forgiving He is and that we should pass that forgiveness on. When we surrender to our weaknesses then later come to Jehovah with a repentant heart He forgives us.

Now that does not mean I surrender and say “Oh well these are my bad habits and there is nothing I can do about them.” NEVER SAY THAT!!! If you do you will self destruct.

However, please do not beat yourself up because you can not kick your bad habits. They are a gift from God to show you His forgiving Grace and to keep you humble so He can use you for His glory.

Prayer: Thank You oh wonderful God for giving me my weaknesses to keep me humble and to always remind me of Your never ending grace. In the name of our special friend Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day
