Dos God Answer All Our Prayers and How?

A Christian may sometime develop a doubt if God ever listens to his/her prayers. He very much listens and answers as well and pretty fast too. We fail to recognise His answers.

Does God answer all our prayers and how?

Many will say ‘no’  showing an accusing finger at God. You are wrong, dear reader.

If you had prayed with total sincerity and devotion, the Creator God would  most certainly answer all your prayers. Rest assured on that.  The answer may not be always Positive; it could be Negative and at times ‘Wait’  too.  Whatever the answer, it will come to you like a thunder and almost immediately as well.  God doesn’t need  time to frame out His response for your requests.

But He won’t  answer them on ‘person to person’ basis.  God wouldn’t talk to us like your father or wife or a friend does  and in a loud voice for that matter. He has granted such a privilege only to some people.  According to the Holy Bible, God  talked for the longest time  and over a period of time, only with  Moses. He did speak to Abraham, Noah and to a few godly people in words or short phrases.   Even to His appointed prophets, He conveyed His thoughts and edicts only through indirect means and crisp language

But, for ordinary people like you and me, He gives His replies in a totally different way altogether. Never expect Him to whisper His decision  right into your ears. You may hear them through someone else’s mouth, at times on the radio or t.v., many times through some Bible verses,  occasionally within your own mind too  by a sudden reflection.  And you at once  would  realize that that was the answer for your prayer early that morning. We need to tune our ears and eyes for a word or a phrase related to our requests from some source around us.

To cite a case: I was very worried about the sudden increase in my wife’s Blood Pressure the previous day.  And my son-in-law  happened to ring me from an outstation that “I needn’t be depressed over the development at all. God is in  control of her future.” Now, isn’t that an encouraging response to my prayer the previous night?

A father went through anxious moments trying to collect sufficient funds to admit his son in an engineering college and had prayed about it.  Next morning while listening to the news,  a particular news item revived his hopes– the Govt had liberalized the scheme of helping even  the middle income group for higher education. The father applied for a loan which was sanctioned immediately.

Believers who have prayed for financial help, have received it within hours through some strangers.  Those who have sought the Divine intervention when a loved one is sinking, have seen the patient suddenly sit  up and talk or a doctor coming and giving a hopeful report.

Didn’t God give His direction to St. Peter about visiting a certain town through the mouth of an young boy accompanying him?

There are numerous cases like these. Many Christians would vouch for them. Compare notes with all the church members.  Everyone would tell you that God had responded to all their prayers in myriad ways and methods.

The answer in some form would come to you immediately, say within 24 hours or at the worst 48 hours.  God doesn’t take weeks, months and years to frame His replies for your earnest prayer.

Having prayed for something, be on the look out for His directions.  You never know who conveys it to you and how it is conveyed to you but you would become aware that a particular word or phrases your ears hear or eyes see, is the answer.

Banish all negative thoughts on this issue. Our God is merciful.  He is very much concerned about your life and is all the time waiting to hear your appeals. Try to be on His wavelength  as described above and don’t expect God to respond in your own  particular style.
