Every day we are faced with challenges of varying degrees and magnitudes. They could come in form of pressure from either family or work, lack, depression, persecution, disappointments etc.

To make meaningful and steady progress in the journey to our destiny, we must learn to face these challenges. The severity of the challenges that controls us is immaterial. All we need is courage and wisdom from God.

It is always important for Christians to know that the pursuit of vision is characterized by challenges. Any attempt to avoid these challenges, is a deliberate attempt to forfeit ones destiny. Each step you make on such pursuit brings you face to face with challenges, these challenges increase with every increasing step you take towards your destiny in fact, whenever you embark on any venture that does not have challenges, it is a clear indication that you are not on track. The number of critiques, persecutors and oppressors tend to increase when you are getting close to your goal. Why is it so? Because they want to intimidate you to the point that you will have to abandon your dream and also deny your purpose. Many have derailed from the track of their destiny because of challenges. Unfortunately they feel justified.

The only sign that you are making progress is the presence of challenges. Right now, you are about to drop your dream, business, education, relationship because you can no longer stand the challenges. But I implore you to rejoice because you are close to the solution of the problem. You are about to succeed! The increasing volume of the challenges is like the dying lion. It makes the loudest noise trying to hold onto life but, the tempo of the struggle reduces gradually and in no time it stops and remains still, it is dead. So are your challenges, they will all fizzle out if you face them tenaciously.

Turn to God in prayer at all times and he will guide and order your step through divine means. As you face and overcome your challenges, your boldness and confidence to face more of the challenges is boosted. Stop running away from your challenges, because they will only chase you further away from your destiny. David almost lost sight of the throne as he ran farther away from his destiny when he was being pursued by his enemies. Something spectacular happened when David stood and faced his enemies. He subdued them and became the king that he was anointed to be (1 sam. 26:5). You have been anointed to succeed therefore, stop running and face the direction of your success. March towards your success and crush anything that stands between you and your destiny.

Challenges are meant to be seen as adversities but in reality they are nothing but advantages. They strengthen, empower and encourage you as a child of destiny. That experience that is meant to kill you will be the – experience that will save your life.  Here is an Illustration to help you understand the point I am trying to make. A farmer got tired of his donkey and decided to kill it by burying it alive. He dug a deep hole and put the donkey inside. As he throws sand on the donkey to bury it, the donkey shakes the sand and step on it. As the donkey continues to shake and step on the sand been thrown on it by its masters, the sand continue to elevate it until the donkey stepped out of the hole and walked away. No trouble, tribulation, threat or persecution can kill you if you face them in Jesus name. Just be firm and courageous, the journey to your destiny will not be delayed (II cor. 4:17). Challenges are nothing but stepping stones. Do not obstruct the plans of God for your life by any form of resistance. We are like clay in the hands of God, every challenge is just like the heat that is used to toughen the molded pot so, lets endure the process and we will be better for it. Your marked value depends largely on your endurance of the molding process.

Do not resist or dodge your challenges; just face them.
