An innocent, strikingly glowing creature from up above that symbolizes many things… a heavenly- gift sent to everyone as their guardian… that’s what an angel is.

But do angels really exist long time ago? Where did they originate? Well…why don’t you just continue reading this article so that you’ll know something about your collection, the ANGELS.

Angel came from the Greek word “Angelos”, which means messenger who carries out the messages of the Lord. A spiritual being, awaiting God’s commands and orders. Some says it’s a manifestation of God to a man. Actually, despite those definitions of angel, still it means one thing, a symbol of God’s wisdom.

Angels were mentioned in the Bible which was a strong evidence that they really existed long before Jesus Christ was born. The Old and even the New Testament mentioned angels.

In the early historical books of the Bible, the Old Testament, angels were the manifestations of god Himself. Different chapters mentioned several features about these creatures. The first one has no form- only a voice just what the Angel who spoke to Jacob in a dream is, who said “Here I am” (Gen.31:11). The other one is the angel in the form of a man just like a wrestled man who walked with Jacob until the breaking of the day (Gen.32:24).

Likewise, angels were given several names bearing a specific routine; angels as “Sons of God,” as “Sons of Mighty,” as “Saints,” as “Holy Ones,” and also as “Watchers.” Others described those angels holy creatures as warriors in the expression of “Lord of Hosts.” The very popular “Cherubim” (not Querubin), “Seraphim” and of course the “Archangels”- Angel Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are some of angel features.

In the New Testament, archangel appeared again and mentioned by Christ and told His people to follow those little ones because those angels always behold the f ace of the Almighty one, who is in heaven. Learning that angel’s existence was convoyed with principalities, power and mights or virtues.

Angels symbolize many things even before. They were sent by God to keep us tracking the right way and to bring everyone into the place, which He prepared, or simply to be our everyday guardian.

We should not provoke those angels for they will no pardon our transgressions because they bear the Lord’s holy name. They also symbolize intelligence and chastisement. The attribution of their wings is also a symbol of their heavenly origin and their swiftness to do God’s will.

Everyday and everywhere, we should take along with and look upon those little angels, even in figurines for their angelic faces bring us an endless happiness.
