God’s Land?

Perhaps science alone cannot answer all of man’s problems.

Was the Earth Made by God, or Was it Just a Big Bang?

We all know that man has tried for centuries to find out how the earth was created. There are many scientific theories that were developed over the years, but no one really knows the truth. The many different religions of mankind, both past and present, have their own ideas too.

Out of all these theories/ideas, and beliefs, one of the most accepted of them all comes from the Christian religion. Though the many churches that make up the religion may differ in the various ways in which they worship, there are three very important things that they have in common. The first is that they all believe in one and only one God. Second is that they believe that the Holy Bible is the true word of God. Last, but not least, they all believe that earth, was created by God. That means all that is known of and seen belongs to him. They all agree that this is God’s Land, and we are only borrowing it for a little while.

While I was raised in the primitive Baptist church, I felt it was not necessary to promote my personal religious beliefs to prove a point the here, for this article is to stimulate the minds of all men and women alike. It was written for all religious and nonreligious people to read and think about, in hopes that someone might understand it. There are many questions that will go unanswered, but perhaps those that read this article, will think about what I have written here, and will find solutions that I cannot. Perhaps we will find out if the pen truly is “mightier than the sword.”

My first thought is this. If this is truly “ God’s Land”, and he created it, why is mankind destroying such a beautiful gift? The truth is that it doesn’t matter when the earth was created or where it came from. Man is destroying it! The people of this earth are like locusts, in the sense that we destroy everything in our path in the name of progress. It is all done in the name of money that now is not worth the paper it is printed on.

The United States as a whole is in one of the most severe droughts that it has ever seen. The question here is, “ Why is it happening?” Is it possible that if this is “God’s Land”, we are being warned that if we continue to misuse our most valued resources, then they can be taken away? Even if you don’t believe in God, science alone tells mankind that he is changing the environment in a multitude of ways, yet we are ignoring most of the theories because we think that they do not affect our generation. The thing about theories is that many of them are proved wrong every day. In fact, more are proved wrong than are proved right. The fact is that without water, absolutely nothing can grow!

We have had the technology and the knowledge for many years, to totally stop much of mans misuse of the resources on this planet. This is not happening because the common people are misinformed on how bad it really is. The people that are making money will not change things unless they are forced to. God’s land or the politicians? I vote for God. When will the people of this planet realize that if we don’t abuse our resources, there is enough for all of us?

Remember this very well; all of these “minor” problems we are having with our resources, are going to be major problems for our children/grandchildren. That is if there is anything left for them!

Whether you believe this earth is Gods land or not, everything I have written about should concern you! I cannot speak for the rest of the world, but it doesn’t hurt me to believe in something other than myself, because if God does exist in any form, we could all be in trouble, for we are destroying his most precious gift, the earth.
