Have Faith in God, Faith in God is Believing What You Don’t See!

Faith in God is believing in God regardless of what the circumstances
appear to be in the natural world. In the natural world, sometimes,
it appears that the whole world is falling down around us! These are
the days when you just lost your job, health, a love one, etc.
Remember, God is still in control! Faith in God is more important,
now, than ever. It is difficult to have faith in God; unless you know
the thoughts and ways of God. God reveals his thoughts
and ways to us through his word, in the bible. Believing in God’s
word help us to have faith in God.

Faith in God is believing in God regardless of what the circumstances appear to be in the natural world.  In the natural world, sometimes, it appears that the whole world is falling down around us! These are the days when you just lost your job, health, a love one, etc.  Remember, God is still in control!  Faith in God is more important, now, than ever.  It is difficult to have faith in God; unless you know the thoughts and ways of God.  God reveals his thoughtsand ways to us through his word, in the bible.  Believing in God’s word help us to have faith in God.

One example of a lack of faith in God is in 1 Kings 18:40-19:18. Elijah, (a prophet of God), captured the prophets of Baal, (a false god), and executed them.  When Jazebel, who worshipped Baal, heard this; she sent a message to Elijah threatening to kill him by tomorrow.  Elijah was afraid and fled for his life.  While Elijah was hiding away in a cave, God asked him why he was there.  Elijah told God that all of God’s prophets had been killed except him, and the killers were now trying to kill him too.  God then told Elijah that he (God), had 7,000 alive, who had never worshipped Baal.

What appeared to be true to Elijah in the natural, that all of God’s prophets were dead except him; and that he would die next, was not true at all. Nor did Elijah die.  Elijah’s lack of faith in God had caused him much trouble.

An example of having great faith in God is in 2 Kings 6:8-6:17.  The king of Syria was making war against Israel. He told his servants where he set up camps to attack Israel. However, Elisha, (a man of God), warned the king of Israel of the location of the camps.  When the king of Syria heard that Elisha had warned the king of Israel of the location of his camps, he sent horses, chariots and a great army to Dothan to bringElisha to him.  When Elisha’s young servant saw the great army, horses and chariots, he was very afraid.  Elisha said to his young servant, “Do no fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”  Elisha prayed to God to open the eyes of his young servant so the young servant could see what Elisha saw.  Then God opened the eyes of Elisha’s young servant; and he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Elisha had faith in God during a time in his life when his battle was too strong for him to fight his enemy himself.  Because Elisha had such a strong faith in God, God allowed Elisha to see that God had come to fight his battle for him in the spiritual world.

It is so important to have faith and trust in God; especially, when it appears, in the natural, that God has forgotten us.  God had already set a plan in motion to deliver us long before we ever knew a problem existed.  God knows the end from the beginning.  Have faith in God!
