He Leads the Way

This is all about having faith in God amidst all the trials and tribulations that come our way.

In this chaotic world, hopeless people roam around the streets, each of them seeking for protection, assurance, and answers to hundreds of questions. And some of them are like US – dreaming for a perfect world where our children can grow up safe; only to be disheartened by life’s cruel realities. But despite all these, there is still one, unending hope to all mankind: J-E-S-U-S.

Yes, Jesus is still here. The same Man who gave up His life on the cross two thousand years ago. The One who shed His precious Blood to save us from sin. He still hear our prayers and answers them in ways He knows best for us. He may answer with a YES and gives us what we want. He may answer with a NO and gives us something better. Or, He may answer with a WAIT and gives us what is best in His own time.

The only problem to men is that we want to do things OUR way. We want to achieve peace, so we set for war. Instead of settling disputes quietly and rationally, we argue in court. Haven’t it ever crossed our minds that it might not be what God really wants us to do? Many of the times we become impatient especially when faced with difficulties and troubles. Some even come to the point of cursing God and blaming Him for the things that came their way. But why is it we always ask, “Why did this happen to me?” whenever we are in despair; and yet, we don’t ask that same question whenever we are happy and blessed?

It is indeed inevitable that there are times wherein we feel really down especially when our plans aren’t realized. We keep on believing that our hopes just flew to the skies. But nevertheless, this doesn’t give us the license to doubt Him and worse, turn our backs on Him. Seeing is believing, you might say. But sometimes, the most real things are the things we cannot see. And believing in these unseen things is what we call FAITH.

In our life’s rugged journey, we just gotta have faith. Along the way, there will be bumps and curves but just keep in mind that they are just wheels that grind a facet to reveal the hidden marvels in each and everyone of us. At the end of the road, isn’t it wonderful to receive the promise of God to those who remained faithful to Him? Isn’t it fulfilling to live in that interminable heaven? The secret there is faith; and to acquiesce God’s commandments no matter what, regardless of the sacrifices, and even if the whole world taunts and laughs at you.

We may be weak, but we just have to call on Him and acknowledge Him in our hearts. Remember, God without man is still God. But man without God is nothing. We are all fallible to mistakes and failures; but that’s what makes us human. Do not be weary. Be patient. In Hebrews 10:36 it says, “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” Surrender yourself to the Lord and let Him lead the way.
