Hidden in The Secret Place

You hide them in the secret place of your precense from the conspiracies of man, you keep them secretly in a shelter from the stife of tongues.                                  Psalms 31:20

     My family & I were going through some really tough times, things we wanted to keep private,  but that was not totally possible.  In order for us to navigate through & come out on the other side we had to reach out for help.  The deep emoitional pain was to much. 

     Well,  in the process of all of this several friends & family found out about our situatioin.  Some were very supportive & others were not.  They would call us names, threaten us, & basically say & do all manners of things.  We had no where to turn, but to God & to each other.

     It was during this time that we all found comfort in the Word of God & in prayer.  We would share with one another what the Lord was speaking to us as individuals & as a family.  I was so troubled over the things people were saying & doing during this time that I was literally to the point I did not want to show my face in public. 

     I would spend hours in solitude just praying & crying out to God.  He began to show me scripture after scripture of who he was & what he was doing for me even as my family & I went through this horrific struggle.  He reminded me of David & how he protected him from Saul killing him,  He showed me that He would give me peace as long as my mind was on Him,  that revenge belonged to Him, & that if He was for me who could be against me. 

     I began to see more & more every day that he was guiding me & that suddenly I was not afraid of the situation or man any more.  He gave me this verse to show me that He had been hiding me in his presence all along & that like a Father who loves & protects his child during the time of danger He, Jehovah was doing the same…. 

     So, if your stuggling just get alone with God.  Pour out your heart to Him in prayer & then get in His word, the Bible.  He will comfort you, guide you, & give you peace beyond any other….  He will be your answer to every problrm.
