I Am Enough

I am enough.  Ever get tired of wondering if you are enough?  (Pretty enough, smart enough, skinny enough, nice enough, spiritual enough, neat enough, trendy enough, etc.)  This kind of thinking is exhausting, and I’m tired.  I am enough.  Yes, self-improvement is a worthy effort, and one that I will continue, but I AM ENOUGH!  God loves me; in fact He sacrificed His son so that I can have a relationship with Him.  My family and friends love me, and I love me.  I’m not perfect (surprise, surprise) and never will be!  No matter what you do you will never be enough for ‘some people’.  But seriously, who?  Some who may think they have the authority to make that decision are seriously misguided.  I think that makes them not enough of something.   I heard an actress (who doesn’t fit the ‘mold’) say that she tells her daughters all the time that they are enough.  Isn’t that what all women long to hear?  So, here it goes.  YOU ARE ENOUGH!!
