I am not defeated for I am more than a conqueror.

I am not defeated for I am more than a conqueror

Romans 8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

II Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, which give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

I am not destroyed; I am built up on my most holy faith

Many times when it is said, “Christ has given us the victory.” We think that we can put our swords down because He will do all the fighting and on some occasions He does. Most of the time He will be with us in the battle (back to back fighting against our enemies), sometimes when the heat of the battle is more then we can bear you can hear Jesus whisper, “I got your back.”

There are 3 things we must have to walk in victory

  1. Take courage….David, a teenager fought and defeated Goliath, a giant and an experienced warrior because he took courage. David knew he had God on his side; we can take courage when we know God is with us. Taking courage does not mean you are not afraid, taking courage means I go in spite of my fears.
  2.  Seize opportunities…the Israelites took the city of Jericho when God caused the walls to fall; they did not wait to see what would happen next.
  3.  Do not allow current circumstances to determine your destiny….At this present time things may look bad, but the battle is not over. You might be down but you’re not out, the battle is not over. Keep fighting even if it seem as if you’re losing , Keep praying, keep reading and studying God’s word, keep being kind, keep helping others, keep doing what’s right. I tell you the tide of the battle is about to change…halleluiah!

We can take courage when we know God is with us. Whenever you are facing a great task or a hard decision, ask God to be with you and ask for His wisdom. Wisdom will allow us to know the direction God is leading us.

My prayer and confession:

The battle may get intense, but through Christ Jesus I will conquer all problems, situations and circumstances. I am backed-up by the greatest authority in the universe. Christ has given me the authority to speak to this mountain and command it to be moved. Christ has torn down the walls so I can take the city. I am not a wimp or a weakling in Christ Jesus I am a warrior. If God is for me who can be against me?
