I Awake Each Morning

           So grateful to be alive, I open my eyes; and grateful I can still see the world in its entire splendor.  I appreciate the trees outside my windows, the bird tweaking on my air conditioner. The sun is beginning to raise it a brand new day with the many blessings from our father up above.

            The glory is boundless, since we can search for as far as our heart desires, seeking new lands, ideas and ways to bring our hearts closer to Jesus Christ.

            My day is full of love, for my husband and my children, because they alone making my life worth living; having extended family and friends are the cherries in our lives. Some of which we keep, and unfortunately those that move on. It is the different experiences that we encounter with family, friends and acquaintances that make each day a uniquely a blessing.

            Within my love for all, is the special place for the Lord above, I thank him daily for all I have, and the ability to go one. I am thankful knowing he is near, and he will walk with me as far as I must go. He gives me strength, besides my faith that awakes me to see each new day as a gift from God above. 

            He is there when I am wounded feeling low and sad, he mends the hurt that I feel inside, since my heart is awakened because of the love he I feel from him.

I welcome each day because there will come a day, when I do open my eyes, they won’t see so clearly, or my ears many not hear as well, but will continue to wake with a happy heart, until finally he calls me home, to free and rest my soul.
