I WILL TRUST THEE
BY: H.R. Robinson
When I can no longer see
Green leaves on the trees;
Or hear birds singing in the air;
Still, my Heavenly Father
I will trust thee;
For I know that you are everywhere!
And knowing that you created all;
In the midst of everything
You stand tall!
Though fields may be dry
As far as the eye can see -
Rain nowhere in the land,
Still, my Heavenly Father
Still, my Lord,
I will trust Thee!
I rejoice in you,
The God of my salvation;
And not only mine,
Every tongue and nation.
You make my joy
For you are my life.
Thus, how can I not
Trust Thee?
Sickness in my bones,
I can hardly walk.
Rasping takes over
When I try to talk.
It seems like I might be
Taking my last breath,
Slowly, going into death.
Still, my heavenly Father,
In whom there is no doubt -
You’re the reason why I’m here -
What my life is all about.
My Lord!
Yes! I will trust Thee!
