In scriptures, it speaks, of how the fishermen followed Jesus, at his request to accomplish his mission. It doesn’t states about hestitation upon the disciples to follow him. But, in retrospective thinking the odds are great that some did ponder that request. After all, they was humans and we don’t follow all requests instantly.
But ask yourself, if Jesus requested you to follow him. Would you? Oh, you had to think about that sincere request of the lord. Well, if you did the odds are greater that you wouldn’t instantly pick up and drop everything on a moment notice like the apostles. We more likely have to work around the lord’s request because of our own plans. Although his plans are greater. We just vision our more important.
But, again, if the Lord Jesus requested us to follow his path would we honestly accept. Yes. some of us would quickly follow that path of the lord. Some out of respect and his sincereness. Or just too intimidated to not follow him. And, this is where the story gets exciting. If you agree that you would follow Christ’s instantly and quickly. Then, why can’t we follow the commandents of God?
Why? Because many of us are caught up in “self interest” to not wants to have guidelines placed upon us. We loves to play the “rogue” part of life that goes against the norms of acceptability. Oh, don’t feel sorry because obviously the scriptures has many
rogues that disobeyed God’s words. When they stated they would follow his direction to a better life.
Judas, follow Christ for many different reasons that reveal his self interest was against fulfilling all the plans, of Jesus. How else could you turn against someone? Who wishes and hopes was sincere requirements of God?
Oh, no one is perfect. We notice that the ministry’s has many rogue officials leading the flock not according to the lord’s plan. And, they highly proclaim it was, by the calling of God.
So, remember. If Jesus should come to you in your prayers, dreams, sleep and ask you to follow him. Least, be real with your answer to him. Plus, the reeason why? Remember, where faith comes from. And, to whom it must be plaaced according to the words in the scriptures. God graces is sufficent enough to handle his children’s accordingly. He doesn’t fail us. We fail him.
