Especially if it is a very conservative church and members don’t keep similar view on what comprises suitable and unsuitable values of entertainment. There is the debate on Christian and comics. Children read Marvel comics since the time they are young and you may not see something wrong with them after examining them casually. The child could be reading a comic which has clear concept of good and bad. It also teaches him about a superhero, someone who has extraordinary power and strength, which should be used to help the feeble.
It is possible that when the child shows the superhero comic to his best friend he may get completely shocked. The friend can be from a very conservative family compared to yours in certain ways, and the child was only permitted to read Christian comics. In several ways Christian comic books are not very different to normal comics, but there are some things which can be shown in superhero comics and not in the Christian comics. You won’t have similar skintight dresses and many of the risky themes will not be present. Other than that the storyline will be generally related to an account from the bible.
Most of us will approve the Christian comics and will consider them to be good for their children; some of us may not agree with the others parents that a Christian child should not enjoy a regular comic. To some of us it is quite obvious that the child’s faith will not be endangered by the superhero comics. While some parents are certain, that such comics are unsuitable for a young child.
It is true that Christian comics are very good for how it showcases the Bible to the unsaved. The good thing about Christian comic books is that it makes the Bible look contemporary and reachable to the younger generation, in the same time shortening the stories. It is a fact that people will not read just because they are asked to, but they may read a brief comic book, especially the children. There are some Christian comedians who press on with these things religiously and have numerous Christian comics. They are distributed to all the children who come to watch the show. They believe that they have saved many souls.
