In a previous article we saw that obedience is a facet of us seeing God move in a miraculous way. While many know Christ directed us to pray to God for our needs, what is sometimes overlooked is the fact that in most cases worship needs to precede our supplication. Often, worship has to permeate our prayers in seeking the miraculous.
Please view the following video concerning the spiritual warfare the Constables went through in interceding for their daughter: http://www.godvine.com/Girl-With-Leukemia-Receives-a-Life-Saving-Miracle-431.html .
As you will note, Kelsie’s leukemia was an extremely rare type. They did not mention any percentage of chance for survival. Through much of the video you heard in the background “Healer,” sung by Kari Jobe.
The Constables would play the song, “Healer,” before they would start praying, which no doubt encouraged them to praise and worship God throughout their times of intercession.
The root of disease is the sin nature we inherited from Adam. Satan sometimes aggravates, and even causes, illness. Our Lord God is Sovereign, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Healing was made available to us through the redemptive act of His Son.
It is fitting that we should enter the throne room of God through praise and worship (Psalm 95:6): “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” Doing so will help us to focus upon Christ, our source of healing, and not upon our problem. Notice that Mrs. Constable made an effort to put aside anything negative, and fixated her hope upon the Word. To me, this is very similar to the woman with the flow of blood (Matthew 9:20-22) that strove just “to touch the hem of His garment.”
Worshiping God fulfills one of the general purposes God has for us. When we are truly God’s child (John 1:12-13) being born-again by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5), we are given authority by Him to “come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
Before one thinks what Kelsie experienced was not a miracle, I would ask they revisit the video and listen around 5:15 into the file, keeping in mind the doctors stated that “there was very little that they did to create the responsiveness she had.”
The realm of miraculous healing by God is a vast one to explore, containing many facets and principles. Sometimes certain principles come into play rather than others. Then, there are times folk do remain sick and even die. God is Sovereign, but yet, until we hear otherwise directly from Him (2 Corinthians 12:7-10), we are to continue to seek His face in regard to healing.
Notes:
This is the second in a series of articles on some miracles of our time. In each case we are going to see through video a specific aspect of touching the throne of God through Christ. The first article was Investigating The Miraculous: Man Brought Back From Death When Doctor Prayed.
