Its time to bring the dead to LIFE !”Revive us Lord”, these three short but seriously powerful words. I believe every church in this nation has spoken these words at one time or another. Most of our churches I believe are in a state of stagnation right now. The fountain of flowing waters have in many become undrinkable, filthy with tolerated sin, and acceptance of matters found without a doubt to be an abomination to God. Hebrews 12:14 reads: Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Revive us oh Lord, we cry in our churches and in our communities. But do we really understand what we are praying for? Are we searching for simply an emotional and physical stirring, or are we searching for a true interaction between ourselves and God?  Are we seeking whatever it takes to shorten or even close the gap between us and a true relationship with our savior? Are we willing to shake off the things unpleasing to the Lord, and declare to Satan that we intend to finish this race, and will pull every man, women or child out of his grasp that the Lord allows? Revive us into the Christian warriors we were meant to be and anoint us with the power to shake the ground at the Devils feet, we should cry.

Were do we start in our search for revival? Are there hindrances to revival that we need to be made aware of? The answer to that question is yes. Hindrances can come as a grievance with a neighbor, tolerated sin, doubt, or even a too passive attitude towards the things of Christ. Apathy can be a true destroyer to any church. Straight forward- If it doesn’t line up the words found in the Holy Bible. It is a hindrance to revival and need placed at the foot of the cross, and left there.

We should understand that true revival will often turn a church upside down- spiritual speaking. When God comes into the picture the enemy is forced out. Sin will not be tolerated in the house of God. Much like picturing God shaking the bad fruit off the tree. The tree must withstand a tremendous shaking, but later shines with a fruitful harvest. We will often have to be willing to make serious changes in our lives if we want to be truly revived. The spiritual man/women must be increased, and the flesh must be put to death. There is no other way.

To revive means to bring back to life. To refill an empty or low vessel. To rekindle a small spark into a once again blazing fire or to recharge a worthless battery. Revival means to put a burden for souls back into member’s hearts. To spread faith, hope and love instead of gossip. To reach out beyond the four walls of our churches and compel the people to come in. And when they do come in they are greeted with kindness, and not rejection. God needs a church that loves his people-Amen.

Let us all take a moment and cry out to God. Pray Father God revive us. Though we may be weary or even hurt, we know that you can revive in us and our church with even a greater anointing than before. Stir within us the greater things of God, and anoint us the power to set free the captives. Set us spiritual on fire so that sin is burned out entirely. Use us oh Lord, we will obey.

I believe that we are in a time of revival in North America right now. There is an ever-increasing gap between Biblically-based churches that are taking a stand against evil, and non-Christians and churches that have allowed political correctness and tolerance to rob them of the power of the Spirit. Battle lines are being drawn. We are told not to even try to predict the date, but we can see the signs that Christ told us to look for.
I agree that it is time for Christians to arm ourselves with the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of God’s righteousness, the belt of truth, shoes of the readiness of the gospel of peace, the sword of the spirit, and the shield of faith. We need to be ready.

Apparently god couldn’t even remind you to close your italics tag. Based on that, I don’t think I’d trust him to collect my mail, let alone perform life saving operations.

P.S.: Replacing all instances of “god” with “lesbians” produced a superior article again.
