It’s Worth It

Seeking prayers to be answered requires obedience to God’s Word.

As a Faith Based Counselor and Healer, I have been a witness to divine intervention many times.  However, I’ve noticed over the years that the more a person obeys the laws of God, the more their prayers are answered.   For example, I had a former client who had been given via discernment a prophetic revelation that her soulmate would come last year.  Well of course he came and when she met him, just two hours later she was in bed with him.  The whole thing fell apart and I got to hear her questions of “why?”   The answer was because the two of the had been united by divine intervention, but to get to know each other first, and to be offered a real love –under the law of God.  Obedience to God’s Word is crucial when asking for, and maintaining any answered prayer.  The man never got to really know her properly, nor did he even get the chance to “woo” her as he enjoyed.  In the end he lost all respect for her.    Even if one were not devoted to God and His Laws, such a thing is dangerous—STD’s, pregnancy etc.—-there was no getting to know each and no committment at all.  Nothing.    After claiming she was sorry and asking God for forgiveness, yet again she was being disobedient by having an affair with a married man, then lying to me about it.  Needless to say she is no longer a client.  The last I heard she was into prostitution for extra money, and I send her my prayers.   Wow, what a dominoe effect!  One disobedient act leading to another with no real repentance in the heart.    God wants to give us the desires of our hearts.  However, couldn’t we at least obey His laws so we can not only obtain these things, but maintain them?   I just had to share this with you.  And to ask you to please remember these two prayers:   Seek Ye First

Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;
and all these things shall be added unto you.”

It is reassuring that God hears our prayers. “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:16).

God listens to the righteous.

Yes, we all fall short.  But to obtain the abundant life Jesus Spoke of, couldn’t we at least do things in a proper order according to God’s laws?  It’s worth it.  I’ve seen it.

I just want you all to get those Blessings, so God placed this message on my heart this morning to share.  And it’s not just about romance.  It’s about blessing those that slander us and curse us, about doing the best we can, about reading the scriptures and applying them to our life situations.  It’s about praise and worship of a Father who loves us so much, He sent His only begotten Son.
