April 19, 2011 the Associated Press reported an air traffic controller had been suspended for watching a movie while on duty. The manager of that regional radar center was also suspended. Just prior to this, the FAA had to handle about five cases of air traffic controllers in various parts of the U.S.A. who had been asleep while working.
Human lives are serious business. It takes teamwork for safe air travel. Not only air traffic controllers, but those who fuel the planes, perform maintenance, assist flyers, pilots and all need to be their best for the sake of others.
While human life is important, of the utmost seriousness is one’s spirit–what place will it have in eternity? For those that are true disciples in Christ, our concern should be not only for the lost, but the redeemed, and especially ourselves.
Unlike the movie watching air traffic controller, we must not yield to distractions, but be “looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:2) We must awake each day with the thought on our mind we must serve the Lord Christ in whatever way He directs us. We must also make it a prime objective to sit at His feet, worship Him and learn of Him.
While there may be many opportunities for ministry everyday, there will be times we must engage in spiritual triage. A key point in this is that we are to be directed by the Holy Spirit alone, not by emotion, our own desire or someone else’s.
Nor should we be spiritually sleeping. If we become too friendly with the ways of the world we become desensitized to the numerous warnings in the Word of God regarding the conditions of our time. Those conditions precede the era of The Beast (Antichrist). However we must consider as John by the Holy Spirit writes (1John 2:18), “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.” Their influence is often felt, whether it is persecution, a siren call to tolerance, mockery of the devout, or by other means.
May we be ever mindful that Peter by the Holy Spirit wrote (1Peter 5:8 ), “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” Do not let Satan get even one piece of you!

My reply to you is you know very little about the Holy Bible or Triond. If the Holy Bible is nonsense, explain why, according to its prophecies, Israel exists today; its principles work; and lives are changed.
You know very little about Triond. I had designated that article for the religion section, but apparently a Triond bot put it in Scienceray. Quite judgmental of you for thinking I put it in Scienceray.
You need to really investigate (whether its Bible or Triond) before you make accusations. Look at some peoples pictures sometime and see what subcategory Picable puts them in.
Most of all you need to know God, through Christ. I surrendered to Christ back in 1970, leaving a life that started in Roman Catholicism, went to satanism (my option not to capitalize), then pantheism, and one that included stealing and other things. No religion converted me, but Christ did. I was called to be a minister of the Gospel and so I am today.

Whoever thought this article belonged in Science obviously didn’t read far enough to see the parable. Very insightful. Unfortunately, God will have to shout to get our attention.
Thanks for the “wake up call” you gave us Pete. By the way, I believe that sometimes God influences Triond to send religious articles to Scienceray so that the science people can have a read. They might never go to read it on relijournal so it may be a case of the mountain coming to them if they can’t come to the mountain
