So the Pope is re-writing history!

He is changing a rule that has been in affect for many, many years. If God has given us rules, commandment to follow how is it that one human is given the ability to change these rules?

While as a Catholic I have always said that a priest would be more capable of follow his calling and giving back to his parish if he was allowed to marry. Many agree and many don’t, but that is all right since we live in the United States and can voice our opinion. Old time Catholics feel that a wife and family would take away ones dedication to his church, while I feel that a married priest can counsel a married couple with martial problems; because he too is married and can understand the feelings involved.

I also feel that religions all over the “WORLD” are changing the rules to draw people to their Church, or place of worship. This is not what God says in his book, the Bible; or in the Reading of the other religions out there.

So time will tell what becomes of our Pope’s decision to overturn and make this change, since while it is a good thing making him relatable; it also gives many individuals the idea that the rules can be changed to suit the person?

I agree with you that priests should be allowed to marry. As long as they maintain their dedication to God and the church, I don’t see a problem. Nice article!

A very thought-provoking post. Just bear in mind that God always look at our heart and seek our motives.
