Mrs. Heart’s #7th Message

About the word change and its several meanings. Change can be about learning how to welcome something new into our lives. Change can put food on tables. It can help someone in the hospital have a new view on life.

Today’s message isn’t just about things that can and do change our lives. It’s also about letting go of a few pennies a day to help feed the hungry.

The word change makes a lot of people scared. Why? They’re afraid of the unknown. They think if they do something new they will fail at it.  Some people stay in the same job due to the fear of failing at another job. Lots of people fear change.

God so love the world. He gave his son to help his people to become fearless.  God’s power of strength is in us. How can we as God’s people be afraid of anything?

God has many passages in the Bible that can help people in times of weakness. “The Lord blesses his people with peace.” This verse is from Psalm 29:11. This is a verse from God to his people.

People who feel peaceful aren’t scared of change. They welcome it. Change does the mind and body good. It helps our mind and souls live in faith and hope for better tomorrows. Peace can help change their fears into peaceful dreams about their futures.

Change also makes one think about the change that maybe floating around in ones pockets. There are many useful things people can do with their handful of change. Yes! People can use their change for saving for a trip. Change can help for gas money. Spare change can help in many ways.

Change can also help a starving child overseas. Now! This is where the meaning of change takes on a whole new meaning. Money to some people is a luxury. Rich people may tend to forget how lucky they are. Then again some rich celebrities have gone overseas to help poverty stricken countries.

God’s people can learn to do both messages at the same time. They can learn to change there way of thinking about doing something new and different. They could go overseas, which is a change in their regular routine. Then they can reach down in their pockets and help serve the poor and homeless.

St. Jude’s Hospital is another great charity to give some of your spare change too. In giving peace fills the soul with thankfulness. A thankful heart is a giving one.

God grant us the wisdom to see where our spare change can be the most useful. Then let us give cheerfully.
