Published by Every morning when I put on the armor of God I’m reminded of the first time I was tempted after I got saved. I was twelve years old and I thought you could lose your salvation. Well I don’t have to tell you the devil was waiting for me! I fell right into his trap by the lack of knowledge of Gods word and sure enough like any twelve year old without the word of God embedded in my heart I went back to my old stinking thinking. Well that dirty dog (the devil) told me I was not saved or I wouldn’t have gone back to my sins. He would lie to me over again and tell me if I was saved in the first place I never would have gone back to my old ways. The worst part of it was I didn’t even know it was the devil talking to me. I thought it was my own mind against me. Boy you ever try to battle yourself and you don’t even know were you’re coming from?
My purpose for this writing is to give testimony to the fact we must be aware of were these thoughts are coming from, by knowing who it is thats attacking us. We must renew our minds with the word of God (Romans 12:2). The devils lies won’t work if we know the truth.
Recognize who the devil is and know that greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world (1st John 4;4).
We have the power to defeat at any giving moment. As a matter of fact the devil has been defeated almost two thousand years ago at the cross at Jesus’ feet. Just ask God for his wisdom, get into his word and watch the devil flee (James 4;7). Thank you God in the name of Jesus, A-men.
