One day, in the middle of the rain and wind, I was thinking about this …

I remember that day
Just an ordinary day
On my way back home after work
On the motorcycle, with my husband

It was raining hard
And the thunder roaring
With the lighting running after each other
And the strong wind blows our raincoat

Feeling cold, I whispered in my prayer
I thanked God, that our baby daughters were not with us on the motorcycle
And then I see a mom, holding her baby tightly under the rain
So I prayed for those who brought their kids along
And ask Lord to protect them

Then I remembered my angels at home
I asked God to be with them and secure them in case they are frightened
So I also prayed for any children left at home by their parents who might also still on the way back home
Lord, please accompany them, as I believe, You’re accompanying mine at home

Then I watched those who were walking or riding under the rain alone
I thanked God that I was with my husband, so I woudn’t worry how he was
So I prayed to God to be with them so they won’t be so lonely, and to protect their love ones wherever they were

It was getting darker and colder
The raincoat couldn’t resist the water anymore
And I felt the rain on my chest, my back, and everywhere
And the thunder seemed to enjoy everything

Then I remembered the poor children on the street
And the homeless
They must be cold too, probably or must be worse than me
So I prayed for them and ask Lord to give them warmness  and shelter wherever they are

After an hour journey which seemed endless
Arriving at home, with the two beautiful angels in the front door
I felt so warm inside
I thanked God that they are ok
I thanked God that we are fine
I thanked God that we can be together enjoying the cold night with laughters

That day, I learned
Everything that we see and experience in our ordinary life
Sometimes becomes too ordinary that we forget
To thank God for every little things that actually make our life brighter
And to say a little prayer, for those who might not be as lucky as we are.

So now I learn more to thank God in everything
Thank God for my beautiful angels and their laughter eventhough sometimes they can be very annoying
Thank God for every moments we can share together with love
Thank God for my faithful and loving husband inspite of some habits which I might not like
Thank God for always protecting us on our way to work and our way back home everyday
Thank God for the job I still have eventhough sometimes I can’t stand with my boss or my working partners

Thank God for the air
Thank God for the weather
And all the ordinary things which is now I find gracefully amazing

And above all
I thank You Lord, for being with me all the time
And Your abundant love in our lives
