Today as we all move on to yet another day. Let us focus a moment on the subject of Freedom. The freedom that comes from the cleansing of the Holy Spirit, and the straight dedication to serving only Jesus Christ. The Word of God says in 2 Corinthians chap.3 verse 17. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Liberty means the freedom and the ability to live a life that is pleasing to God, and to not be bound in any sinful state. But living totaly free of the chains of sin, and the power of corruption. For the Word of God also says in 1 John Chap. 4 verse 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Freedom can mean many different things to many different people, but what we speak of here is the freedom from not being “a slave to sin” but rather a conqueror as in Romans chap. 8 verse 37 where it says; Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loves us. We ask you today, are you a conqueror over sin? Do you have such a freedom that the Word of God speaks of? Do you live the life that the spirit cries out to live? Or does the flesh still overcome. Is the spirit of liberty in your church? Do you know how to find that freedom? God wishes us all to be free from the power of sin, and to walk in manner free of any chains that keep us from moving forward in God’s grace. You don’t have to struggle; you simply need to lay it at the cross. God will deliver all that call upon him. Psalm 55 verse 22 it says Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. We you call upon him today?
