Pro-active Christianity

Making an impact through our faith.

When reading about Jesus in the Bible, one thing we can take is that he wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He sought out people that were unaccepted by society and made a big difference in their lives.

As Christians it is very easy to go to church each week, wrap ourselves up in a spiritual blanket and never try to compromise our comfort zones. We all need to rise to the challenges that Christianity asks of us in modern day society.

We have made a choice to live a righteous life, but this doesn’t mean we are to set ourselves apart from other people. On the contrary, we are to seek out the shunned and the rejected just like Jesus did. We are to express our faith to those who don’t know about Jesus or Christianity. When we utilise the power of the Holy Spirit to guide out thoughts, words and actions and reject the sinful self that is always at war against the soul, we begin to make an impact in other peoples lives.

Through prayer we can decide which direction God wants us to make that difference – then and only then will we have a pro-active Christian faith.
