When led by the Spirit, the child of God must be as ready to wait as to go, as prepared to be silent as to speak.Lewis Sperry Chafer
After accepting Christ as my savior I desperately wanted to serve Him. In this desire a mistaken adventure occurred in going to Mexico to serve Him as a missionary. The time and place was not right, especially me being a baby in Christ. Needless to say the venture was not fulfilling. Sure my service was there as was the commitment, BUT, the timing was wrong. Yes a lot of good was done and some people gave their life to Christ, BUT, it was not the proper time. It took another four years of waiting while learning. It was difficult to be sure. Now, however I am more prepared and capable.
Yes in our eagerness we may jump ahead of Jesus, BUT it is only when we submit to Him, wait for His timing and be quiet so as to hear His soft gentle voice guiding us that we will truly be able to properly serve Him.
Prayer: Pease Jehovah Rohi (the Lord our Sheppard) help me to have patience to wait for Your direction in my life. Sometimes in my impatience it is so difficult. In the name of Him who exhibits patience, Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ love bless you today and every day

This is the hardest lesson to learn, as a Christian! Thankyou, for reminding me. It’s very well written.

This is an easy trap to fall into when we start thinking that we’re the ones doing all the work rather than God. When we keep the true perspective that without Him we can do nothing, then we start wanting to not go anywhere He’s not going with us.
Thank you for your comments.
Yes sometimes it feels like we are waiting for an eternity.
God bless you.
