Throughout the ages, mankind has always been at odds with one another, or have fully delved themselves into a debate that flames their interests as well as their passions for what they believe in. There is however, one such debate that is far more superior than all the rest.

This debate is what kind of a person Jesus really was. Were his actions really mystical? Where they made up or exaggerated? Was he really the messiah? The answers to these questions are ones that we may never know, but we will always put this debate at least in the back of our minds for when a conversation takes that turn.

Jesus lived and walked the earth nearly two thousand years ago, a span of time where very few records of him or his actions have survived. What we as Christians have to rely on to understand who we refer to as the savior of humanity is one simple book, known as the Bible. This Bible consists of the Gospels and other works that describe Jesus, his actions, and the actions taken by his apostles after his unfortunate but necessary passing.

Hebrew religion identifies the fact that Jesus did exist, as a prophet of some sort, who did in fact perform miracles to some degree, but they are vehement in the position that Jesus is not their messiah. They are still waiting for their warrior-like king to liberate them and lead them as the dominant force on this earth.

Another startling fact is that no Roman documents of Jesus and his execution have ever been found, but this can be passed off by explaining that Jesus was not in the midst of the Romans very long, and although he may have been written of by the Pharisees, those writing most possibly perished along with the destruction of the Temple. The truth of the matter is that we simply will never know who Jesus was or what Jesus did.

We have simply our faith that will guide us in this world, and help us strive to live a wholesome life, in the image of the man that we call Jesus.
