The misconceptions born again Christians or for that matter evangelical Christians have about biblical scholarship. These are just a few, most born again’s do not realize there are two genesis stories in the bible and so at the very onset they read with a mask covering there eyes, as they lack the curiosity to do research. The same can be said with all religions, and when all extremes in any religion get to that point, that perversion will prevail, and then its a pathetic my God is better than your God. Let me ask the reader, what is more spiritual, a babbling screaming preacher on a pulpit or a person who sits in serene meditation under a tree.

Evangelical Christian pastors will not explain any biblical scholarship to the young born again’s. This in turn starts the cycle of misconceptions for it is better to worship the bible than to worship God and this is a form of idol worship ! Have any readers seen a young born again come up and start quoting biblical verses, without knowing really why that verse was stated. What the evangelical pastor’s should tell theses newbie’s that they have to take in context the social structure, the economics, the political atmosphere, linguistics and all influences that were around during that time.

Chistianty had twenty times more sects after Jesus death than we do in this modern day of enlightenment, so once again they have a misconception. They believe that the New Testament fell down from the clouds and that it is the inerrant word of God. I have news for most ! Many of Pauls writings were rewritten at a latter date or added in after Paul’s death. One can tell this by the linguistics of the language. Paul did believe that women should be aloud to heal and speak and have a major say in all church affairs. One can look in Corinthians and see how Pauls writing stop and another was added. The reason is that male hierarchy was the ruling class, if the born agains would just read all the text’s from the time period, especially the hidden books. Then in turn the evangelical faith would become richer and the television evangelicals would cease taking money and living the life of kings, instead of stealing money from the poor and misguided.
