“Returning Sun”

I remember, way back my prime days; I would usually spend a couple of hours, during late afternoon to watch that coin-size mystical fireball gradually sitting on her quiet throne on the west.

As that romantic figure humbly approaches her victorious retreat, every click of a second counts, so as not to miss her gradual disappearing, a restive scenario, signifying that the day has ended.

The days turned into months and months into years, yet the promise that she left before approaching to her majestic kingdom has never been forgotten without final adieu, the promise to return after a whole night rest to pave the way for a new day.

The horrors of wars, famine, sickness and Armageddon have successfully created a gloomy picture of life to men. Hopelessness and uncertainty have ruled the unbelieving in great fashion. Is the world going to final destruction? What is your perspective? And I should say that life is a matter of faith and perspective.

Take into consideration the fireball’s humble retreat, for some, it symbolizes defeat but for others, evidence of victory and celebration. For indeed, this majestic creature will not sit in her throne until she completely hurdled the struggling journey, like a returning queen who regained her kingdom after a long period of absence.

As she approaches her throne, the memories of pains and sorrows have gone. Choral of jubilation comfortably heard on the background for the triumphant march of the saving queen. The crown and scepter are shinning in display, waiting to be raised by her majesty. The red carpet has flatly been laid in preparation for the festive march of her highness. But as the  announcement was about to be made, her highness preferred the  celebrate in silence and  deep contemplation., remembering that she had made a sacred promise to a lot of weary souls way back, the promise to return a night after.

We are being tested by the struggles we take and heights we conquered. For what makes life meaningful are not the joy and laughter we’ve made but pains we endure.

Consider the cocoon as she struggles from her dwelling place. The pains every time an attempt is made to loose herself from uncompromising display. Nonetheless, unmindful of the pain and suffering, she fixes her sight afar hoping to achieve that joy of transforming into a bright colored creature for the multitude of flowers waiting.

We do not live for this day alone neither for yesterday. But we live for tomorrow. We don’t exist for ourselves, but for others too. For it is in throwing our eyes afar that we realize our mistakes nearby, and by dying to have life anew.

Go on….go on my friend. You are not alone. We are all riding in the same boat. Do not falter. Altogether we must finish the race and tackle our individual task.

God did not promise a life full of roses instead he will faithfully accompany us in our journey everyday.

Just as the sun,   rises in the east. She does not promise to appear with bright skies only for at the back of the gloaming clouds, bear in mind, the bright shining light above.

Consider victory in your deepest valley, for God’s presence is stronger and be weary in laughter and jubilation, for you might forget him soon.

Life is just like a boat pushed by the current of the sea and tossed by the waves in the ocean. Either, it is difficult to sail head-on. The wisest way is to remain calm and wait for the storm to subside.

Be quite and remain calm in you struggles. Be still…For all you know, in silence, the answer is just there beside you until a new day comes.
