Righteousness

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34).

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34).

We’re still in the days of our flesh. We have to understand that our walk with God is step by step. We wrestle against principalities. Take the breastplate of righteousness. It’s got to be God’s righteousness that we stand on.

We have to have our loins girded with truth.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. (Ephesians 6:14-15).

We walk on our feet. The foundation is the gospel on what we stand on. we must build our belief system on the solid foundation on the gospel of peace. You can’t build your foundation on anything but the gospel. If it’s in anything but the gospel of Jesus Christ it’s in the wrong spot. We must have the entire armor of God to protect ourselves.

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the scriptures:

The stone the builders rejected

has become the capstone;

the Lord has done this,

and it is marvelous in our eyes.” (Matthew 21:42).

Jesus is our cornerstone. It’s our faith in that foundation which keeps us covered. If we lose that foundation we’re lost. We need the solid foundation to shod our feet. The Gospel is our protection. Having our feet shod with the protection of the gospel of peace.

We need the shield of faith. Without faith we can’t please God. Our shield blocks every weapon.

“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” (Matthew 18:18-20)

The helmet of salvation protects us. We need to protect our minds. We need to be careful what we watch on TV, listen to on the radio, and look at on the internet. If we look at it enough we’re going to act out those things. If weprotect our minds we won’t act out those things.

Salvation changes us. Salvation makes us not want those things through the Holy Spirit.

Our mind is the most sensitive part of our body. It’s the little things that are going to cause the damage because our mind is the sensitive part.

The Sword of the spirit which is the word of God. All we have to say is “it is written” with each scripture verse and Satan will leave us alone.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

The word of God is a discerner between good and evil. That’s why people are so adament about getting the word of God out of our schools and the public. The word of God is intended to bring people into God’s presence.

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord”, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believer and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confessand are saved. As the scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.”

Very good explanation on the armor of the Lord. There is a spiritual battle going on around us, and we need to arm ourselves to take part. You are right about our society seeking to disarm the public by removing the Bible, but they cannot remove the Holy Spirit.
