Rescued, Transformed & Preserved – That’s what it means to be Saved!
Jesus preserves us “body and soul unto everlasting life.” So we’re safe with Jesus, not just for the moment but forever… not just for this life, but for the life of the world to come. Christ enables us to survive anything, including the grave. That’s good news in shaky times, amen?
Jesus gives us new life, as He said, “Ye must be born again.” The transforming power of the Holy Ghost at work within and among us changes our personal lives, our community, and the world. Can I get a witness?
Jesus grabs our proverbial hand to rescue us when we get in over our head, as He did with Peter who was sinking while walking on the water (remember Peter’s prayer? “Lord, save me!” — try it, it works every time)! Can I get another witness?
Ok, then, that’s what I’m talking about! We’re safe with Jesus! So let’s first accept and celebrate that safety with confidence. Then let’s pray and work to build our personal, church and community life on this firm foundation of the safety (salvation) we have in Christ Jesus. Then let’s give a witness to the world by encouraging all our friends, relatives and everyone else to trust that we and they are safe with Jesus! Amen?
