God often times works through our brokenness. He allows us to reach our breaking point so that we may shed that trait or habit, and repent of certain desires or goals. He wants us to dispose of all “self” until we can truly say, “All that I am is a divine work of God”. The Lords breaking process will eventually lead us to sobriety and cleanliness. Our suffering has prepared us for usefulness.
Hebrews 12:10,11 “For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our own profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteous to those who have been trained by it.”
