Scripture of The Week From Psalm 103

Since we’re in the middle of one of the worst cold and flu seasons I know of, not to mention H1N1 looming in our midst, I thought a healing scripture would be appropriate.

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all of His benefits; Who forgives all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Psalm 103:1-3

Notice that in this scripture, the Psalmist says “Who heals ALL your diseases.” I’m pretty sure this includes the flu, even Swine flu. I personally now know of two people who have this awful virus. I am praying for their recovery. I am also praying that it doesn’t hit our family. My husband is a health-care worker, I am high risk due to a congenital heart condition and my daughter is also high risk due to cerebral palsy. Just the other day her pediatrician’s office called to tell us they have a limited supply of the H1N1 vaccine available but so far we have opted not to inject her with the vaccine. I have read about some of the horrible ingredients it contains and have been doing some in-depth research on vaccines in general. That, along with some moms I have talked to, have convinced me that vaccinations are not always necessarily a good thing.

I continue to pray for wisdom regarding this H1N1 vaccine and I also pray that we would be protected from this virus and all of the other terrible viruses currently out there. I also continue to pray that the Great Physician would heal all of those affected by H1N1, after all, He will heal ALL of our diseases.
