Seven Evidences of God

And a question for my readers.

1. Information only comes from intelligence.

2. Anything finite (with a beginning) needs a maker to make it, God is the Infinite that created the finite.

3. All our body systems work together, if there is one defective part the system will not function to its potential.

4. Design demands a designer.

5. Organization cannot come from chaos, chaos would only begat chaos.

6. the Universe shows organization.

7. Life needs a life giver.

And now a question for those who think “chance” could account for everything that exists.

If your brain came from “chance” how can you possibly know if anything you are thinking is reliable?

It is unrealistic to think that any sense could come from chaos as previously mentioned.

Intelligence comes ONLY from intelligence.

 Just food for thought

God bless

Great food for thought. I am full. Thanks!

Your list of evidence will make for some lively debate, I’m sure. While it provides a compelling jumping-off point for discussion, I’d like to see a more expansive version of this, with more details provided for evidence.

Hmmmm. I agree with Bull. It’s a great jumping platform. Since I have no argument with the existence of God, I am stuck on number 1. It’s kind of like the ‘man in the woods clapping’ thing, isn’t it? Information is everywhere. Intelligence is used to order and process it.

I think your seven points are pretty much common sense and self-expanatory. For example – organization cannot come from chaos. If something is in a mess, it will not straighten itself out. Every mom knows this.

Jamie, your comment was deleted because you made a fool of yourself because 1. It is SELF EVIDENT that chaos begats chaos and that there is organization in the universe, 2. God is ETERNAL (meaning infinite, if something is eternal it does not need a creator and God is the only being that is eternal)
only something with a beginning needs a maker, God had no beginning and has no end, He has simply always been, as I stated he is the infinite that created all things that are finite.

Anything with a beginning has a cause, God however since He is eternal (without beginning or end) is the Uncaused Cause

Jamie, you asserted “Natural selection is the designer” however there is a problem with that view. Selection cannot design anything, it takes intelligence to design anything.

While it is true that forces in nature tend to select the strongest to survive and pass on their genetic information to the next generation, this does not explain the origin of the life form, nor can this process create anything new.

If a factory produces any complex product such as computers, it is normal for that factory to employ quality control people to check the product after assembly to make sure it works. If some of the computers are rejected because of deficiencies, that does not prove that the computers are making themselves!

The selection process will only keep the quality of the product high; it will not create or design the product.

I’ll put this simply, to expand on John’s comments…..I can select from a variety of candy to see which ones I prefer, but before that can be done someone had to make the candy, it’s the same thing here. Natural Selection cannot make anything, the creation process is different and separate from the selection process.

Another example: I can choose which car I want to drive, but only after a car maker has made it! I cannot choose a car that is not available, obviously.

Natural Selection cannot account for the design.

I think you’re over-looking something. At no time does the universe show itself to be in chaos because its order is caused by the natural interaction of physics and the observable rules that guides what will result when atoms, molecules, and energy interact. What made you think that the force in the Universe which is eternal is a God. You are over-looking that it may not be a God. No one has seen a God for thousand of years (Only in writings)…is that not a clue?

Dear Leonardo, you yourself speak of physics and the observable rules that guides what will result when atoms, molecules, and energy interact.

Who do you think set these rules in place? The fact that there are rules at all is yet another evidence of God.

P.S. Jesus did in fact walk the earth and He is Immanuel. Your skepticism will not make God cease to exist.

You are deliberately overlooking the evidence God gave, everyone knows the creation is always a separate thing from the creator. A computer engineer for example is outside of (and thus separate from) his computer, nonetheless both the computer and the engineer still exist,

God is a Spirit my friend, Scripture calls Jesus Christ the Word Made Flesh, the physical manifestation of the Eternal Living God. As for your questions, I say rather than discounting God, seek Him.

I will be praying for you.
