As being a Christian I am surprised that not all Christians know of some of the things in the Bible, so here is a small list of things all Christians should know:
7. 7 is a Biblical number as it is the most used number in the Book of Revelations. Other Biblical numbers include 12 (number of disciples), and 40 (days that Noah was in the Ark, days that Jesus fasted)
6. Buddhais OLDER then Jesus. Though Buddha is not the messiah, if we say that Jesus was born 6 BC then Buddha was either 557 or 617 years older then Jesus (not even his actual birth date is known either)
5. God goes under MANY names. Including Yahweh, Bevnoah, and Islam name Allah with few more.
4. There are “groups” of angels, including the Archangels (see 3), 24 elders (spoken of in Revelation), and 14 Holy Helpers (okay these aren’t in the Bible but are a group of Saints)
3. Archangels exist but aren’t as Holy as Jesus. As a Biblical studier, I say there are 7 but I believe the only known are Michael, Gabriel (the one with Virgin Mary), Raphael, Uriel, Phanuel, and Azrael.
To me, the others don’t have enough proof to exist as of now (also Azrael is Archangel for only Islam, but I consider him for Christianity) , but is maybe that only 6 actually exist, (and I should make this for number 2, but I don’t want to use it up) the banished Archangel Lucifer makes 7. That’s right Satan used to be an Archangel.
2. Lots of links can be made with the Virgin and friend Elizabeth, and Archangel Gabriel.
Now your asking what? That is just it, Elizabeth is the Virgin’s Aunt! Elizabeth is Jesus’s great Aunt!!!
Now it goes on, that is the SAME Elizabeth who thought she was too old to have kids. So Gabriel (see where this is going) tells her husband Zechariah that they will have a baby even at their own age. Zechariah doesn’t believe Gabriel even though the Lord will actually do it (why would he send Gabriel in the first place?) so Gabriel makes him mute (or as the Bible puts it, “dumb”) until the son is born.
Now it gets crazy as when the baby is born so Zechariah (still mute) gets a piece of paper (ancient paper) and writes “his name is John” and is able to speak once again.
Now this John is the SAME John as John the Baptist that Baptized Jesus! So Jesus was actually baptized by his own great cousin!
So this may explain why Jesus wanted to be Baptized by John the Baptist, it was a family affair.
1. Finally, the importance of Mary Magdalene! Now some may put her as not important, but she is most important in Jesus’s Resurrection and theories.
Now I will not say much about her (as the Bible didn’t) but she was considered a apostle to the apostles as she was that close with them.
Now she came along Jesus and the Disciples when she was possessed by 7 demons (hence the 7) that Jesus took out. Then she is finally put as the first one to discover Jesus up and about after his death.
I will finally use quotes from the Bible:
John 20:1 Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.
To get to her second part, I explain in a short way that she tells Peter (who we all know had something against her) and John (who strangely puts himself as “the other disciple”).
So churches actually peach on Easter that John made it there first (either he loved Jesus more, or Peter didn’t believe Magdalene) but he admits that Peter ENTERED the cave first.
So in the meantime after they get there, Magdalene is weeping after they left:
John 10:10-16 Then the disciples went back to their homes, but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’s body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put him.” At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. “Woman,” he said, “why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means Teacher).
So you can get that she saw him first, (my Bible actually has her saying “Master!”) but many theories surround her of the fate of some may believe in “Jesus blood”.
Yes I am referring to that french group fictionally known from “The Da Vinci Code” (which actually EXIST, but unknown if they have anything to do with her), the Priory of Sion.
Now it is believed that Magdalene actually conceived with Jesus (or maybe something with the Holy Spirit) and gave birth to descendants of Jesus.
Now it is wrong to say “conceived” because must believers of this state that she just got pregnant from drinking Jesus’s blood. (Oh yes, Mary Magdalene, the FIRST VAMPIRE! BEFORE VLAD DRACULA!)
Now as crazy as that sounds, some believe this is actually “The Holy Grail” if she is the Holy Grail or either she drank Jesus’s blood from the Grail (oh yes, Jesus lied that it was wine…) but of course this was different from the one at the Last Supper and according to most, she put a drinking container under Jesus’s dying body which collected his blood, and she drank it.
Now he know alot of people in the Bible do crazy things (like run around naked to make a statement or almost kill their son because God told them to just so God can test them) but this is JUST a theory and is NOT in the Bible nor any other Biblical writings, but I find it important if science finds that a person has “Jesus Blood”.
Note: For more infomation on Magdalene, the Gnostic “Gospel of Mary Magdalene” exists (this is where we get that Peter hated her) in a fragment (pages 1-9 are missing) but this is a Gnostic Gospel, so that means it is most likely ghost written.
That ends it for now and there are much more that Christians should know, so I may make a sequel topic (a part 2) so now there are 14 things that all Christians should know.
I can actually go and on about a few topics that all Christians know about just to discuss, so those might be made. – Riadse87
