Lets be tempted.

The Seven Deadly Sins were

Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, and Pride

But nowhere was to be seen “Temptation” not even in the Ten Commandments (for those of you that have forgotten) these were…..

  1. You shall have no other Gods but me.
  2. You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.
  3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
  4. You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.
  5. Respect your father and mother.
  6. You must not kill.
  7. You must not commit adultery.
  8. You must not steal.
  9. You must not give false evidence against your neighbour.
  10. You must not be envious of your neighbour’s goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to your neighbour.

In my mind Temptation should have been added, but as its not listed in the seven deadly sins or the Ten Commandments, maybe we should accept that Temptation is ok, after all, The actual word isn’t mentioned

We know that Temptation was the original sin starting with the story of Eve, but now I question that is was a sin after all its not mentioned anywhere as a bad thing, and in my mind I think its healthy to sin a little, it keep the blood flowing and the mind young, so I ask all of you, Sin a little just for me.

I think we should sin a lil too Johnny! I agree with Landiro and what he highligthed Oscar Wilde said. Temptation is part of life and without them I for one would fien my life very dull indeed! I really enjoyed this piece I can relate to it deeply.

Those that really love GOD, they stay close to GOD through prayer and studying GOD’S word. they will not want to sin. We want to be obedient to GOD. the bible says. GOD will keep us from temptation and make a way of escape. All men are tempted. Temptation is not a commandment, it is a promise.

A really good write. I think temptation only becomes a sin if you give into it. Good work.

We are all sinners regardless, temptation is not a sin but a means in which to choose what path you would take. Yours is a cuter version but we all fall at some point.
