One aspect of church life that I feel imperative is to connect with people and technology should play a huge part in that.

All churches should have websites that are up-to-date, informative and modern in appearance, have pod casts, forums and all the latest technological advanced associated with websites and social networking sites.

Sermons should be put on the website with up to date bulletins, pictures, songs and be as creating as possible. This also creates many ministries within the church for talent to grow.

Churches should have good sound systems with quality portable microphones to communicate to people.

If the church is large enough have people speaking into projected cameras projected onto large screens as this appeals to people especially as we live in a fast changing technological world and are moving with the times.

Technology should play an integral part of church services regardless of denomination; this of course is costly but appeals to all audiences. People who are set in their ways and do not want to move with the times should be given a kick up the backside.

Vicars should not be afraid to loose or upset these people for the sake of growth and evangelism and have a culture of using technologies available in order to connect with their congregation and potential new members.

Websites should display policies and procedures within the church inclusive of complaints safeguarding against vulnerable people, paid staff and key volunteer team leaders, details about how services are structured and the style of leadership in the church along with activities the church does in the week along with key external relationships and partnerships to name but a few and contributes to the environment the public view your church as.

Technology endorses evangelism. Agree or disagree?
