The Battle of the Two Spiritual Kingdoms

Even as I write, there is an ongoing battle raging. This battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places.

What two spiritual kingdoms? The kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness.

Folks, Satan has a kingdom, “If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” (Matthew 12:26)

“If Satan also is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that I cast out demons by Beelzebul.” (Luke 11:18)

Christ also has a kingdom, not will establish a kingdom as the forces of Satan will have you to believe. His kingdom exists now! “Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn’t be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here.” (John 18:36)

If the kingdom of Christ is not in existence now then: 1) Then there would be some folks living somewhere in the world today that are over 2000 years old. “He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power.” (Mark 9:1)

2) Then Christians in the first century could not have been rescued from out of the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of light. “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” (Colossians 1:13)

3) Furthermore, John could have been where he said he was. “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Revelation 1:9)

The Spiritual Battle

First, I need to report as some of you already know, that Satan has outsmarted many. However, we have been warned about this, yet some have decided to compromise with our enemy. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” (2 Corinthians 2:11)

Second, we have also been warned: “14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.    15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15)

Third, Paul writing to Timothy, told him that there would be a departure from “the” faith. “1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;” (1 Timothy 4:1-2)

As a result of the departure from “the” faith many are now a member of a church which Christ said nothing about. The reason there are so many different churches now is because Satan has transformed himself into the angel of light and his ministers have transformed themselves into ministers of righteousness. As a result we have the doctrines of devils.

Jesus said, “But in vain do they worship me teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:9) John states very plainly that if one does not abide in the doctrine of Christ, he has not God. (2 John 1:9). Notice the difference between the two passages, when the scriptures are referring to, the doctrine of Christ is always singular. However, when it is referring to the doctrines of men, or the doctrines of demons, it is always plural. The point is Christ only has one doctrine.

As a result of Satan and his ministers transformation he has, “ . . . . . .  blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Furthermore, God is allowing or Satan to send to those who are rejecting the truth, “11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-12)

Because of their attitude which causes them to seek their own preferences, regardless of what the scriptures say, will condemn them at judgement.

Those who are laboring in the kingdom of darkness are cursed. “6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. 12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1:6-12)

Jesus made it very clear in Matthew 7:21, that not everyone who call him Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he that do the will of his Father. Jesus then gives us a glimpse of the judgment day. “22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:21-23)  Also see: Revelation 22:18-19.
