Cover of King of Kings                                                     This Series  on the History Channel will be produced over a ten hour period spread over each Sunday in the Month of March.  This show dwarfed other favorite Cable shows like the Walking Dead on AMC, not to mention the Network Stations that are so lackluster these days.  The series started out with over 13 Million Viewers.

Some are arguing that key elements of the Bible are missing in the Mini-Series.  You figure that the Bible is a Universe all into itself and perhaps like Hollywood will do and may have had to do was condense some of the Books or key Historic elements.  I’m not sure.

Like the Ten Commandments, Barabbas, King of Kings, or the story that involves Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah and other famous movies depicting some Historic events of the Bible, they don’t encompass the whole Bible, however, this mini-series is to depict from Genesis to Revelations.

Biblical movies and Plays are always interesting to some of us and I don’t believe it has anything to do with what we have been fed in this Society.  The Bible seems to be the Guide Book for  Christians who truly know in their hearts that it is the inspired Word of God.  So many beliefs that we live by are rooted in this book and if and when we ever look at life, we can read the Book and find the perfect Passage to validate that actually, there isn’t too much new under the Sun and that this life is simply a re-run of Ancient life and the creation of Man.  Some brilliant hand created the Universe and the firmament of the earth and allowed us as Man to search for the meanings of life.  Without a Mighty Hand, there would be no us for surely we cannot make even a tree, however we can plant it, we cannot make the seed.  You don’t have to articulate your thoughts this way but God is the force of Intelligence that hung the Stars on Nothing, and created a sun to make sure we always have a light and vitamin source and water so that we can live.  Therefore, we can call this force anything we chose which produces difference Religions.  We can also be unbelievers in a force as well.  We are all people with different view on life and what it is really.  At any rate, as humans more than likely the subject of life does come up in our minds, at least.  The Bible is not going to be for everyone and Hollywood always has its take on it and for all that is said and done, it does open thoughts and dialogue.

Bible (Photo credit: Sean MacEntee)                          I’m not sure, I sat down to really watch the movie fully but I kept the Channel on just to hear, like I would if the Ten Commandments or any of the famous Biblical Movies.  If the Bible has sold more Books than any Book in History, we know that it will sell in a Movie form.  When I read it, the meaning of life comes to life again and my realization that there is such an awesome power at work, I always want to be a better person.  Peace.
